Abstract:
Disclosed are a tunnel excavator and a construction method for same. The tunnel excavator comprises a frame. The frame is divided into a front segment (1), an intra-cavity excavating segment (2) and a tail segment (3), the profile of the frame and the profile of a tunnel are the same, the front segment (1) is composed of a frame excavating apparatus (1-1) and a soil sealing segment (1-2), the frame excavating apparatus (1-1) mounted in a head part of a front segment frame (1-3) only excavates rock and soil in a ring shape in a projection area of the excavating frame, rock and soil excavated in a ring shape by the head part is conveyed behind by means of a rock and soil conveying apparatus in the front segment frame, the front segment (1) and the inter-cavity excavating segment (2) of the frame are of a horizontal tube shape with an open head part, and non-excavated rock and soil at a certain length inside the front segment frame (1-3) constitutes the waterproof soil sealing segment (1-2) of the excavator. The inter-cavity excavating segment (2) only excavates rock and soil inside a cavity, and the tail segment performs tunnel construction. Rock and earth are excavated at a rear position of a cavity of the excavator, construction is safe, the manufacturing process for the tunnel excavator is simple, the profile excavated by the excavator is the profile of a tunnel, construction quality is good, the period is short, and costs are low.
