Abstract:
Provided is a tunneling machine which is used to lay a propulsion pipe underground. This tunneling machine is such that a front body comprises a speed reducer with a motor integrated together, and that the main body comprises a direction correcting device and a bypass valve. The speed reducer with a motor integrated together is such that a hollow pipe is inserted through the interior of a motor shaft, with the result that it is possible to directly eject medical solution or lubricant onto bits. The direction correcting device is provided between the front body and the main body for the purpose of supporting the front body. The inner surface of a joint provided in the main body receives a spherical body formed at the tip of a cylinder rod which is provided in the front body, resulting in the front body being swingably supported. Furthermore, the bypass valve performs opening/closing control of a bypass for a mud feed pipe and a mud discharge pipe by driving a revolving-door-shaped rotary valve. At the rear end of the tunneling machine, the same is connected to a joint member which is provided with a central tube, the mud feed pipe, the mud discharge pipe, and a fluid pipe.
