Abstract:
The invention is a turbine housing configured so as to accommodate a turbine blade driven by exhaust gas discharged from a gasoline engine, the turbine housing being provided with: a body having, in the interior thereof, a scroll passage wall surface forming a scroll passage formed in the shape of a scroll for guiding the exhaust gas to the turbine, an exhaust gas discharge path wall surface forming an exhaust gas discharge path for discharging the exhaust gas that has passed through the turbine blade, and a wastegate passage wall surface forming a wastegate passage for bypassing the turbine blade and connecting the scroll passage and the exhaust gas discharge passage; and an inlet flange section which is provided to an upstream end of the scroll passage in the body, and in which is formed an exhaust gas feed port linking to the scroll passage, wherein an inlet-side opening edge of the wastegate passage formed on the scroll passage wall surface is provided to a location where at least a portion of the inlet-side opening edge is visible from the exterior of the turbine housing through the exhaust gas feed port.
