Abstract:
This turbocharger is provided with a compressor housing, a turbine housing, a bearing housing, a variable nozzle unit, and a securing member. The variable nozzle unit has a first plate, a second plate, a plurality of nozzle vanes, and an orientation-changing mechanism. The securing member has an engaging member that engages with the first plate and/or the second plate, a through-shaft part having a shape extending so as to pass through the bearing housing toward the compressor housing, and a securing part that secures an end part of the through-shaft part on the compressor-housing side thereof to the bearing housing.
