Abstract:
This turbocharger (1) is provided with: a rotating shaft (4); a turbine wheel (2); a compressor wheel (3); a rolling bearing (5) that rotatably supports the rotating shaft (4) around an axis (C) and that comprises an inner race (50) fixed to the outer circumferential surface of the rotating shaft (4), an outer race (51) surrounding the inner race (50) from the outside in the radial direction, and rolling bodies (52) arranged between the inner race (50) and the outer race (51); a housing (6) that covers the rolling bearing (5) from the outer circumferential side with a gap (S) between said housing (6) and the outer circumferential surface of the rolling bearing (5); and a lubricating oil supply line (72) that supplies lubricating oil within the housing (6). The turbocharger (1) is additionally provided with an operating state detection unit (76) that detects the operating state of the turbocharger (1) and a lubricating oil adjustment unit (75) that changes the flow rate of lubricating oil flowing through the lubricating oil supply line (72) in accordance with the operating state.
