Abstract:
Provided is a turn-signal-light control device with a simple architecture that, with minimal increase in the cost of the device and minimal degradation of characteristics, can reliably flash LED elements serving as turn-signal lights. Said turn-signal-light control device uses an external bootstrap circuit, which has a capacitance element that is charged on the basis of a power-supply voltage, to control turn-signal lights comprising LED elements. The turn-signal-light control device is provided with the following: an auxiliary charging switch connected between a second end of the capacitance element and ground; a charging-detection unit that detects when charging of the capacitance element starts and outputs a charging-detection signal while the capacitance element is being charged; and an auxiliary-charging-switch control unit that turns the auxiliary charging switch on if the charging-detection signal is being outputted but pulses in a pulse signal are not being outputted.
