A fixed blade (6) of scissors (3) is provided to the upper end of a fixed connection section (2), a fixed frame (19) (fixed handle (4)) is provided to the lower end of the fixed connection section (2), and a movable frame (18) (movable handle (5)) is pivotably provided to the fixed frame (19) through a first pivot support section (8). Causing the movable frame (18) (movable handle (5)) to pivot relative to the fixed handle (4) enables a movable blade (7) of the scissors (3) to be opened and closed relative to the fixed blade (6), said movable blade (7) connecting to the movable frame (18). A second pivot support section (9) is provided to the movable frame (18), and the movable frame (18) and the movable blade (7) of the scissors (3) are connected to each other through the second pivot support section (9). Side wall sections (22) are formed on the fixed frame (19), and the side wall sections (22) are shaped so as to expand to the outside of the pivoting radius of the second pivot support section (9) which pivots about the first pivot support section (8) when the movable handle (5) is caused to pivot.
