Abstract:
In this twin clutch device, the increase of inertial mass is suppressed to improve fuel consumption. This device is provided with a first flywheel (11), a first pressure plate (14), a first clutch disc assembly (12), a first release mechanism, a second flywheel (21), a second pressure plate (24), a second clutch disc assembly (22), and a second release mechanism. The first and second clutch disc assemblies (12, 22) are pushed into the flywheels (11, 21) by the corresponding pressure plates (14, 24), and motive power is transmitted to the corresponding input shafts. At least one of the first and second clutch disc assemblies (12, 22) has a plurality of clutch discs.
