Abstract:
Disclosed are a two-dimensional regularized plane projection method and apparatus for a point cloud, the method comprising: obtaining original point cloud data; initializing a two-dimensional projection plane structure of a point cloud; calculating horizontal azimuth information of the point cloud according to the original point cloud data; and according to the horizontal azimuth information, determining the mapping between the original point cloud data and the two-dimensional projection plane structure, so as to obtain a two-dimensional regularized projection plane structure of the point cloud. In the present invention, the mapping between original point cloud data and a two-dimensional projection plane structure is determined by means of horizontal azimuth information of a point cloud, and a large-scale point cloud can be projected onto a two-dimensional regularized plane structure without performing a two-dimensional local search, which reduces the complexity of an algorithm, thereby reducing the time spent on two-dimensional regularized plane projections of point clouds, and improving algorithm performance.
