Abstract:
The present invention improves the degree of freedom of design for steering characteristics in a leaning vehicle having two front steering wheels. A vehicle 1 comprises: a vehicle body frame 21; a front left wheel 32; a front right wheel 31; a rear wheel 4; a lean mechanism 5; a steering mechanism 7; and a lean responsiveness adjustment mechanism 74. The lean mechanism 5 includes arms 51 and 52 that are supported rotatably relative to the vehicle body frame 21. The arms 51 and 52 rotate relative to the vehicle body frame 21, whereby the vehicle body frame 21 leans in the horizontal direction. The steering mechanism 7 mechanically transmits the rotation of a handle 23 to the front left wheel 32 and the front right wheel 31. As a result, the vehicle body frame 21 leans in a direction opposite to the rotation direction of the handle 21. The lean responsiveness adjustment mechanism 74 controls a motor 421 by using a command value based on the time-derivative value of a physical quantity generated in response to the motion of a rider, which affects the lean of the vehicle body frame 21, thereby adjusting the responsiveness of the vehicle body frame 21 to leaning.
