Abstract:

A two-wheeled motor vehicle has a downwardly bending main frame (20b), an engine (1) and an air cleaner (26) that are arranged below the main frame (20b), and a suction pipe provided below the main frame (20b) at a position between the engine (1) and the air cleaner (26). The engine (1) has a cylinder head with an injector arrangement portion, where an injector (11) injecting a fuel is provided. An injection nozzle (11a) is also provided on the injector arrangement portion such that the injection nozzle is at a position that is between the axis of a suction valve (7) and the center axis of a suction port (3g) and that is close to an end portion on the suction valve side of the suction port (3g). The suction pipe and the injector are arranged at positions that do not interfere with each other. As a result, the interference between the injector and the main frame can be avoided, and the degree of freedom of mounting the engine on a vehicle body is prevented from being reduced. Further, the suction characteristics and output of the engine are improved.
