Abstract:
The invention concerns a toric reinforced rubber membrane (M), used for supporting a tubeless tyre (P) tread and constituting with said tyre and its mounting rim (J) a wheel assembly (E), characterised in that when it is inflated at a pressure (p0) higher than pressure (p1) of the tyre (P) cavity, it has, in inflated state, a top radius (RM) less than the crushed radius (RE) of the tyre used at its recommended pressure, said membrane (M) being at its top (1) reinforced by a breaker ply (12) and a binding reinforcement (13), consisting of tyre yarns or cords oriented circumferentially, and in its sidewalls (11) by at least one reinforcement ply (120), wound around a ring-shaped reinforcing element (2) with breaking force slightly greater than that of the binding reinforcement.
