Description:
THE DESCRIPTION

[0001]Ultimate (ECO) Floor System TECHNICAL FIELD

[0002]The Ultimate (ECO) Floor System is a composition of parts that create long span one way precast concrete floor slab plank.

[0003]The precast concrete slab Plank Floor comprises a 75mm to up to 300mm thick concrete containing bottom zone reinforcement steel designed for the required span of the slab.

[0004]The Channel Truss (see Figure 1 &2)comprising welded wire steel reinforcement trusses incorporating thin walled cold rolled steel lipped channel with reinforcement bars inside the lipped channel which is filled with medium to high strength concrete concurrently with the Plank Floor (Figures 3 to 5).

[0005]The upper surface of the Plank Floor component is intentionally left roughened to assist in bonding of subsequently cast in-situ concrete to the floor slab after designed top reinforcement is placed. Assembly of components for the System begins with installation of precast concrete wall panels which are stabilised by panel braces. Top surfaces of wall panels are verified to be at the required height and in good condition to receive the Plank Floor elements. Plank Floor elements are placed in their respective correct locations and alignment. Engineer designed slab top reinforcement is placed correctly and secured. After satisfactory inspection in-situ concrete is cast, vibrated and finished to project specification (Figures 6 & 7). BACKGROUND ART

[0006]The Ultimate (ECO) Floor System was developed in response to construction industry demand for innovation in construction methodology to enable safe, effective and efficient construction of conventionally designed long span one way floor slabs.

DISCLOSURE OF INVENTION

[0007]The Ultimate (ECO) Floor System identified the tech-problem to use a significant amount temporary support framing; timber sub-framing and form ply in preparation for construction of suspended floor slabs.

[0008]The system offers the tech-solution by reducing or eliminating the requirement for temporary support framing, eliminating timber sub-framing and form ply requirements thus rendering the slab construction sub-area clear of obstructions and environmentally sustainable by reducing or eliminating waste materials from the construction site.

MODE OF CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION

[0009]The Ultimate (ECO) Floor System has two parts, the precast concrete floor plank which is manufactured off site and transported to construction sites on semi-trailers in construction sequences required and on-site installation, application of required top reinforcement and subsequent casting, vibrating and finishing of in-situ concrete.

INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY

[0010]The Ultimate (ECO) Floor System is intended for use in the building construction industry for long span one-way suspended floor slabs. It can also be utilised in

Civil/Infrastructure applications for bridge work and long span culverts where elaborate form work is restricted.
