Abstract:
Disclosed is an electronic device comprising: a first communication circuit that supports communication according to a Bluetooth protocol; a second communication circuit that supports communication according to an ultra-wideband (UWB) protocol; a processor operatively connected to the first communication circuit and the second communication circuit; and a memory operatively connected to the processor. The electronic device may be configured to: establish a communication connection with at least one first external electronic device by using the first communication circuit; when carrying out a Bluetooth scan by using the first communication circuit, negotiate a scan parameter such that the Bluetooth scan does not overlap a Bluetooth scan of the at least one first external electronic device in a time domain, or in a frequency domain on the same time base; and while connected to the at least one first external electronic device by communication, carry out, by using the first communication circuit, the Bluetooth scan for UWB communication according to the negotiated scan parameter. Other various embodiments identified by the present document are possible.
