Abstract:
An ultramicrotome for three-dimensional imaging according to the present invention is an ultramicrotome for slicing a specimen, which is to be observed by a three-dimensional imaging device, into ultrathin sections, and comprises: a specimen accommodation part including a specimen stage to which a specimen is fixed and a movement control means which controls the movement of the specimen stage; a cutting part including a knife which has a blade for cutting the specimen at one end thereof and a knife holder which secures the knife; a power generation part which generates driving energy so as to allow the blade to perform motions for cutting the specimen; and a power transmission part which transmits the driving energy to the cutting part, wherein the power generation part and the power transmission part are connected to each other by a wire, and the driving energy is transmitted to the cutting part via the wire.
