Abstract:
This ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus is provided with: an ultrasonic probe; an imaging unit which generates an ultrasound image by imaging a subject on the basis of a received signal outputted from the ultrasonic probe; an image analysis unit which performs image analysis using the ultrasound image generated by the imaging unit; a motion detection sensor which is attached to the ultrasonic probe and which detects movement of the ultrasound probe and outputs this as a detection signal; a movement amount calculation unit which uses the detection signal outputted from the motion detection sensor to calculate the movement amount of the ultrasonic probe when inspecting the imaging inspection site currently being imaged of multiple inspection sites of the subject; and a site determination unit which determines an imaging inspection site on the basis of the result of image analysis by the image analysis unit and the movement amount calculated by the movement amount calculation unit.
