Abstract:
The present invention provides an ultrasonic motor in which deviation of the angle of a shaft member can be more reliably suppressed, and which can be reduced in size. An ultrasonic motor 1 according to the present invention comprises: a shaft member 10; a first case member 6 that has a first bearing 18 supporting the shaft member 10, and a plate-shaped part 7A including first and second main surfaces 7a, 7b and a side surface 7d connected to the first and second main surfaces 7a, 7b; a second case member 8 that has a second bearing 19 supporting the shaft member 10, and a cup-shaped part 9A including a bottom portion 9a and a side wall portion 9b connected to the bottom portion 9a, the second case member 8 being located on the second-main-surface 7b side of the first case member 6 and constituting a case 5 together with the first case member 6; a stator 2 that has a plate-shaped vibrating body 3 including third and fourth main surfaces 3a, 3b on opposite sides from each other, and a piezoelectric element provided on the third main surface 3a of the vibrating body 3, the stator 2 being located inside the case 5; and a rotor 4 that is located inside the case 5, is fixed to the shaft member 10, and is in contact with the fourth main surface 3b of the vibrating body 3. The side wall portion 9b of the second case member 8 has: a plurality of support portions 9d that protrude inward and support the second main surface 7b of the first case member 6, there being at least three support portions 9d; and a plurality of fixing portions 9e that fix at least one of the first main surface 7a and the side surface 7d of the first case member 6, there being at least three fixing portions 9e.
