Abstract:
An ultrasonic observation system (1) provided with: an ultrasonic transducer (11) for sending and receiving ultrasonic waves to and from a subject and generating an ultrasound signal; a first automatic pressurization mechanism (12) for applying a pressing force on the subject to generate a pressurization displacement; a displacement-measuring circuit (28) for elastography image generation, the circuit measuring the amount of displacement for imaging of the subject on the basis of the ultrasound signal; an elasticity-computing circuit (29) for computing the elasticity of the subject on the basis of the imaging displacement amount; a signal waveform analysis circuit (31) for analyzing the signal waveform, which is based on displacement of the subject, to acquire the displacement maximum and displacement period; and a pressurization mechanism control circuit (32) for causing the first automatic pressurization mechanism (12) to perform pressurization synchronized with the displacement period and at the same time as the displacement maximum on the basis of the signal waveform analysis results.
