Abstract:
An embodiment of the present invention provides an ultrasonic peening device which can improve a peening effect by means of a cavity by limiting acoustic streaming. Here, the ultrasonic peening device is an ultrasonic peening device for ultrasonically peening an objective surface coming into contact with a fluid, and comprises a probe body part, a probe tip part, and a cover part. The probe tip part is formed to extend from one end of the probe body part, and emits ultrasonic waves to generate a cavity and acoustic streaming in the fluid. The cover part includes a hollow portion formed therethrough in the axial direction to allow the probe tip part to be inserted thereinto, so that the cover part has open opposite ends, and has one end coming into contact with the objective surface to limit the acoustic streaming generated in the fluid received in the hollow portion, so as to prevent the cavity from escaping out of the hollow portion.
