Abstract:

An ultrasonic probe with which a longitudinal vibration caused by ultrasonic vibration can be transmitted toward a distal end from a proximal end along a longitudinal axis defined by the proximal end and the distal end, the ultrasonic probe having: a first region, which has a proximal end part, a distal end part, and a central axis that is defined by the proximal end part and the distal end part and is parallel to the longitudinal axis, the ventral position of vibration being at the distal end part; a treatment part, which is on the distal end side in relation to the distal end part of the first region, and has a center of gravity at a position offset in relation to the central axis of the first region; and a second region, which is arranged continuously at the distal end part of the first region between the distal end part of the first region and the treatment part, and is configured so as to have a center-of-gravity axis at a position that is parallel to the central axis of the first region and passes through the center of gravity of the treatment part, the central axis of the first region and the center-of-gravity axis being offset at the distal end part of the first region.
