Abstract:
An ultrasonic sensor (100) is provided with: a bottomed cylindrical case (60), which includes a bottom section (62) and a cylindrical section (61), and is formed of a conductive member; and a piezoelectric element (50) bonded to an inner surface (62s) of the bottom section (62). The bottom section (62) is provided with a protruding section (62u) protruding toward the opening (60y) side of the case, said protruding section being at a position separated from the cylindrical section (61). The top surface of the protruding section (62u) includes a first top surface section (62a1) and a second top surface section (62b) having a protruding height that is higher than the first top surface section. In plan view of the piezoelectric element (50) and the second top surface section (62b) in the direction perpendicular to the second top surface section (62b), the piezoelectric element (50) is disposed such that at least a part thereof overlaps the second top surface section (62b).
