Abstract:
An ultrasonic sensor (1) is provided with a first electrode (21c; 20), a second electrode (41), and a third electrode (42). The first electrode is provided in an ultrasonic microphone (2) provided with a vibrating element (21) which has the function of converting between mechanical vibrations and an electrical signal. The second electrode is provided outside the ultrasonic microphone in such a way that an electrical property between the first electrode and the second electrode changes in accordance with a state of attachment of an attached substance (S) onto the ultrasonic microphone. The third electrode is provided in order to suppress a change in the electrical property between the first electrode and the second electrode resulting from a cause other than attachment of the attached substance to the ultrasonic microphone.
