Abstract:
An ultrasonic sensor (101) comprises: a case (1); a piezoelectric element (5) positioned on a bottom panel (2) in the interior of the case (1); a signal terminal; and a flexible substrate (7). The flexible substrate (7) is connected to the piezoelectric element (5) and one end of the signal terminal. A side wall (3) includes a pair of thick wall sections (31) that face each other and a pair of thin wall sections that face each other. A recess (15) is provided in the inner surface of each of the thick wall sections (31), and a portion of the flexible substrate (7) is positioned in a recess (15).
