Abstract:
This ultrasonic sensor (1) comprises a vibration conversion unit (6) and a support unit (5). The vibration conversion unit is constructed to be in contact with an acoustic matching unit (3) that is secured to the inner surface (V5) of an outer plate (V3) of a moving body so as to be capable of transmitting an ultrasonic vibration to the outer plate. The vibration conversion unit comprises a first element (61), a second element (62), and a connection unit (63). The connection unit is constructed by assembling together the first element, which is one of a transmission and a reception element, and the second element, which is the other of these, so as to be interposed between the first and the second elements. The first element is in contact with the acoustic matching unit in the state of the ultrasonic sensor being mounted to the moving body. The second element is secured to the support unit so as to be capable of transmitting an ultrasonic vibration to the outer plate via the connection unit and the first element.
