Abstract:
Disclosed are an ultrasonic smelting reduction apparatus and a method for smelting a vanadium-aluminum alloy. The apparatus comprises a reactor (1), an ultrasonic generator (2) and a heating device (3), wherein the ultrasonic generator (2) is arranged at the bottom of the reactor (1); and the heating device (3) surrounds an outer side wall of the reactor (1). The method comprises: mixing a vanadium source, an aluminum source and a slagging agent together, then adding a mixture thereof into the preheated reactor, carrying out energizing, heating and ignition to enable a reaction, and carrying out an ultrasonic treatment during and after the reaction; and after natural cooling, separating slag from an alloy ingot to obtain a vanadium-aluminum alloy product. In the present invention, the smelting reaction apparatus is additionally mounted with the ultrasonic generator, so that a uniform temperature field is formed during reduction, thereby facilitating a uniform process of the reaction. Moreover, alloy and slag are completely separated from each other, thereby reducing the effect of impurities on the alloy to the most extent, and facilitating homogenization and grain refinement of alloy elements, and resulting in an alloy product with an excellent performance.
