An ultrasonic tomograph comprises a pick-up (1) with a piezoelectric transducer, a drive-pulse generator (2), a receiver-amplifier (3), an analog-to-digital converter (4), an on-line buffer memory (5), a clock-pulse generator (6), a frequency divider (7), a control signal decoder (8), a state register (9), an address counter (10), a communication channel (11), a processor (12), a monitor (13), a keyboard (14) and a plotter (15). The output of the pick-up (1) is connected to the input of the receiver-amplifier (3) whose output is connected to the analog input of the analog-to-digital converter (4) whose digital output is connected to the informational input of the on-line buffer memory (5) whose informational output is connected to the communication channel (11). The output of the clock-pulse generator (6) is connected to the input of the frequency divider (7) whose output is connected to the input of the control signal decoder (8) whose second input is connected to the output of the state register (9). One of the outputs of the control signal decoder (8) is connected to the input of the drive-pulse generator (2), the other outputs of the control signal decoder (8) are connected to the controlling clock-time input of the analog-to-digital converter (4). The third output of the decoder (8) is connected to the "record/read-out" output of the on-line buffer memory (5), the fourth output of the decoder (8) is connected to the input of the address connecter (10) whose output is connected to the address input of the memory (5). The input of the state register (9) is connected to the communication channel (11) to which are also connected the processor (12), the monitor (13), the keyboard (14) and the plotter (15).
