Abstract:
An ultrasonic transducer according to an embodiment of the present invention may comprise a laser source, a transparent piezoelectric element layer, a transparent sound-absorbing layer, and a transparent lens layer. The laser source may transmit a laser beam. The transparent piezoelectric element layer may mutually convert an electrical signal and a photoacoustic signal or an ultrasonic signal, and may be disposed under the laser source to allow a laser beam to penetrate therethrough. The transparent sound-absorbing layer may absorb external waves generated from the outside and the transparent piezoelectric element layer, and may be disposed between the upper surface of the transparent piezoelectric element layer and the laser source to allow a laser beam to penetrate therethrough. The transparent lens layer may be disposed on a lower surface corresponding to the opposite surface of the upper surface of the transparent piezoelectric element layer to allow a laser beam and a photoacoustic signal or an ultrasonic signal to penetrate therethrough. In accordance with the ultrasonic transducer according to the present invention, the resolution of a photoacoustic image and an ultrasonic image may be increased by using a transparent piezoelectric element layer and a transparent lens layer which allow a laser beam provided from a laser source to penetrate therethrough.
