Abstract:
The invention relates to an ultrasonic vibration-assisted mold used in the deep drawing process for forming preferably a material such as a sheet metal (4) and to the method of operation of the mold. The mold according to the invention, in its general form, comprises a female mold (1), a male mold (2), an ultrasonic vibration unit, the ultrasonic horn (3) which is the equipment of the ultrasonic vibration unit being used as the pressure element.
