Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an ultrasound imaging device capable of displaying a synthesized ultrasound image which makes it possible for an imaging subject to easily ascertain the condition of an imaging target. [Solution] An ultrasound imaging device (3) equipped with: an ultrasound image generation unit (351) which receives ultrasound waves which are transmitted toward the inside of an imaging target (9) from a plurality of different locations on the surface of the imaging target (9) and then internally reflected, and generates ultrasound images which correspond to each of the locations; an image synthesis unit (352) which generates a synthesized image of a cross-section of the imaging target (9) by synthesizing the ultrasound images from each of the locations; and a direction adjustment unit (353) which adjusts the angle of the synthesized image, and orients a specific site included in the synthesized image in a prescribed direction.
