Abstract:
The invention addresses the problem of providing an ultrasound irradiation device that can be set up easily, with which systemic effects can be obtained with local irradiation by irradiating ultrasonic waves with a weak output intensity at an output frequency of 800±50 kHz or less on areas that are distal to the elbow of a living body, and which can be operated by a patient him/herself to irradiate the ultrasonic waves on the affected area. The ultrasound irradiation device (10) is equipped with: an ultrasonic wave-irradiating pad (110) having at least two or more output elements that irradiate ultrasonic waves at an output intensity in the range of 50±5 mW/cm2 to 110±5 mW/cm2 in an output frequency range of 500±50 kHz to 800±50 kHz; a driving means (11) for driving and controlling the ultrasonic wave-irradiating pad (110); and an affixing means (120) for affixing the ultrasonic wave-irradiating pad (110) in contact with the forearm (50) of a living body, the affixing means being formed as a deformable band-shaped body having a detachable fixing part (120a) on the end thereof.
