Abstract:
[Problem] Provided are an ultrasound probe operation device with improved user-friendliness and a coresponding method. [Solution] This ultrasound probe operation device is provided with: an ultrasound probe (2) for acquiring an ultrasonic echo image (50) including a blood vessel; a sensor operation unit (3) for operating the ultrasound probe; and a control unit (1) for controlling the sensor operation unit. The control unit detects a medical device (6) within the blood vessel (7) from the ultrasonic echo image acquired by the ultrasound probe, and controls the sensor operation unit so that the detected medical device is located at a predetermined region (501) in the ultrasonic echo image.
