Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide an ultrasound transducer with superior temperature-sound pressure properties. This ultrasound transducer (100) is an ultrasound transducer which is provided with an ultrasound generation element (1) having piezoelectric vibrators (3 and 4), and cases (7 and 8) which have ultrasound discharge apertures (8b) and in which the ultrasound generation element (1) is housed, wherein by way of the ultrasound generation element (1) and the cases (7 and 8), acoustic paths (R1 and R2) which extend from the piezoelectric vibrators (3 and 4) to the ultrasound discharge apertures (8b) and which treat air as a medium are formed, and in the acoustic paths (R1 and R2), by way of ultrasound generated at the piezoelectric vibrators (3 and 4), resonance of the air is generated with the ultrasound discharge apertures (8b) as open ends. The piezoelectric vibrators (3 and 4) are driven at a drive frequency such that the temperature-sound pressure properties in the resonation of the air, and the temperature-amplitude properties in the drive frequency of the piezoelectric vibrators (3 and 4), exhibit opposite tendencies.

Claims:
