Abstract:
Provided is an ultraviolet-emitting phosphor which is for mercury-free lamps, and which emits ultraviolet light upon being irradiated with vacuum ultraviolet rays or electron rays. This ultraviolet-emitting phosphor comprises a phosphate containing at least two types of metallic elements selected from the group consisting of group 13 elements and lanthanide elements, and emits ultraviolet rays when excited by irradiation with vacuum ultraviolet rays or electron rays.
