Abstract:
An ultraviolet laser wherein a glass substrate (32) for an output mirror has a transmittance of 80 to 96 % to a laser beam having a wavelength of 337 nm at a thickness of 5 mm and a thermal expansion coefficient of 44 x 10-7/�C to 55 x 10-7/�C at a temperature in a range of 0 to 300 �C. A metal sealing ring (39) is hermetically bonded to an open end of a vacuum container (31), and the glass substrate and the metal sealing ring are hermetically bonded with low melting point solder glass (41).
