Abstract:
Provided is an ultraviolet light emitting phosphor having excellent resistance to deterioration and excellent light emission intensity. This ultraviolet light emitting phosphor is constituted from yttrium, scandium, aluminum, and oxygen, wherein said phosphor emits ultraviolet rays as a result of excitation by irradiation with vacuum ultraviolet rays or electron beams.
