Abstract:
[Problem] To provide, as a curable silicone composition used in an optical display or the like, an ultraviolet radiation-curable silicone composition which exhibits storage stability and sufficient rapid curing properties and yields a cured product which has high extensibility and maintains high adhesive strength even under high-temperature and high-humidity conditions and in which discoloration (yellowing) is suppressed; and an application (OCR or the like) of a cured product of the composition. [Solution] Provided is an ultraviolet radiation-curable silicone composition which contains (A) a chain-like organopolysiloxane having a specific methacryloyl group-containing organic group, (B) a monofunctional or polyfunctional acrylate compound and (C) a photopolymerization initiator, and in which the ratio of the number of moles (a) of methacryloyl groups and the number of moles (b) of acryloyl groups in the composition [(a)/(b)] falls within the range 0.1-3.0; and use of the composition.
