Abstract:
The present invention relates to an ultrawide range anemometer, comprising a base (1), a wind sensing platform (2), a flexible supporting column (3), a thermal insulation panel (4), a heating element (5), four temperature measuring elements (61), four rigid supporting columns (71), four rectangular planar lower electrodes (81), and four electrode sets. The described hardware is assembled to construct the ultrawide range anemometer, and, provided corresponding thereto is a manufacturing method for the ultrawide range anemometer being designed, having the following advantages: 1) extremely high precision is provided at a low wind speed; 2) wind speed and wind direction data can be measured accurately at a high wind speed; 3) wind speeds acquired per either measurement principle can be verified and calibrated against each other at a medium wind speed, thus further increasing the precision of a sensor; 4) wind data measured per either principle can be used in a self-test of the sensor, thus implementing automatic determination of whether the sensor is functioning or not; and, 5) an inverted cup design of the wind sensing platform can effectively prevent dust and rainwater from affecting a capacitance-sensitive component.
