[Problem] To provide an umbrella device with which opening and closing is possible in an inverse direction. [Solution] An umbrella device comprises: a pole; a cap which is anchored on the top end of the pole; a first slide member which is capable of freely sliding freely along the pole; a second slide member which is capable of freely sliding along the pole between the first slide member and the cap, and which is capable of connecting to, and disengaging from, the first slide member; a cover which is formed on the surface of the umbrella of the umbrella device when the umbrella device is opened; long shafts, one end of which is connected to the second slide member, the other end of which is connected to the edge of the cover, and which support the cover when the umbrella is opened; and support shafts, one end of which is connected to the first slide member, the other end of which is connected to the long shafts, and which move the long shafts. When closing the umbrella device, the first slide member is moved in the direction of the second slide member and connected to the second slide member, the other end of the support shafts move the other end of the long shafts above the umbrella device, and the long shafts, the support shafts, and the cover are bundled in the inverse direction above the umbrella device.
