Provided are an umbrella plate structure and a sunshade applying the umbrella plate structure. The umbrella plate structure comprises an umbrella plate base (2) and an umbrella plate cover (1) covering the umbrella plate base (2), wherein the umbrella plate cover (1) is provided with a through hole (11) running through same from top to bottom; a concave cavity (21) is provided in the umbrella plate base (2) for accommodating electronic components and wires; and the through hole (11) of the umbrella plate cover (1) is in communication with the concave cavity (21) of the umbrella plate base (2) thereunder. When there is a simple circuit problem to be solved, the electronic components and wires in the concave cavity (21) may be overhauled by means of the through hole (11), without disassembling the umbrella plate cover (1) of the umbrella plate structure, thus reducing the probability of wire abrasion and short-out, and improving the assembly efficiency.
