Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] To provide under drive single-acting press realizing energy saving,
space saving and forming capability with high precision and with good balance.
Especially to provide a press having a short forming stroke, a low overall height,
and an improved contactability of the work with the die by adequately correcting
the slide and flexure of the die and realizing uniform pressure of a blank holder.
[MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The press comprises a forming press section having
a lower die which is fixedly installed on a bed inside a ring blank holder and a drive
mechanism adapted for elevating/lowering a slide supporting the lower die and
installed within the bed, a die-clamping press section having the slide elevated/lowered
by the drive mechanism mounted on the crown side and an upper die which has a die
part for clamping a work in cooperation with the blank holder around the peripheral
portion, and a device for exerting a press force on the upper die from the back of
the upper die during and after the lowering end period of the slide and the upper
die of the die-clamping press section for improvement of the forming precision.
