Abstract:
Provided is an under-run protector, which is light in weight and has sufficient strength by changing the board thickness of an optimum portion for strength improvement. The under-run protector is composed of a hollow material (10) having a rectangular cross-section shape, and is attached to a vehicle body frame (20) using an attaching bracket (21). The board thickness (t1) of the substantially horizontal surface (12A), which constitutes the hollow material (10) on the side closer to the vehicle body frame (20) than the longitudinal direction center line (13) of the hollow material (10), is set larger than the board thickness (t2) of the substantially horizontal surface (12B) on the side farther from the vehicle body frame (20) than the longitudinal direction center line (13) of the hollow material (10).
