Abstract:
The present invention relates to an under vehicle photographing apparatus for picking up a clear image of the bottom surface of a vehicle without perspective distortion, and a method for operating the same. The present invention comprises: a camera for picking up an image of the bottom surface of a vehicle; a lighting module for radiating light to the bottom surface of the vehicle to be photographed by the camera; and a calibration module for calibrating the image of the bottom surface of the vehicle obtained by the camera. The calibration module comprises: a perspective distortion calibration part for calibrating perspective distortion generated by a difference in the distance of the bottom surface of the vehicle from the camera depending on the view angle of the camera; and an image matching part for specifying a corresponding point with corresponding RGB values by comparing the RGB values of each pixel of the images calibrated by the perspective distortion calibration part, and matching multiple images into a single image on the basis of the corresponding point.
