Abstract:
Provided is a novel underground bicycle parking facility with which it is both possible to make the portion of the underground bicycle parking facility exposed aboveground more compact and to store more bicycles by increasing bicycle handling performance. The underground bicycle parking facility is provided with an underground structure (1) that has a storage space to store bicycles underground, an elevating body (14) that has a positioning section (14b) for positioning bicycles, an elevating apparatus (4) that raises and lowers the elevating body (14) vertically inside the underground structure (1), multiple storage shelves (2) disposed radially around the elevating apparatus (4) and vertically at multiple levels in the storage space in the underground structure (1), and a transfer apparatus (22) that transfers the bicycles between the elevating body (14) and the storage shelves (2). A user places a bicycle on the positioning section (14b) of the elevating body (14) that has been lifted aboveground, and the elevating apparatus (4) lowers the elevating body (14) to the height of storage shelves (2) in the underground structure (1) while a holder (22a) of the transfer apparatus (22) grips the bicycle on the elevating body (14).
