Abstract:
The present invention is an underpants-type absorbent article provided with a pair of elastic members (16) that are longitudinally oriented in a spread state and in an extended state. The pair of elastic members (16) are disposed in a groin area during wear, respectively at two end sections of the underpants-type absorbent article (1). If a position half of the distance from a longitudinal central-side end (40sc) of a joining section (20) of a dorsal-side waist section (40) to a longitudinal center (CL) of the underpants-type absorbent article (1) is considered a reference position (RP), the lateral length of an absorbent core (11a) at the reference position (RP) is greater than the lateral length of the absorbent core (11a) at the longitudinal center (CL) of the underpants-type absorbent article (1), and a value found by dividing the longitudinal length from the reference position (RP) to a back-side end (11eb) of the absorbent core (11a) by the longitudinal length of the absorbent core (11a) is at least 30%.
