Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an underwater detection device and an image generation method which can obtain a more effective image in water. [Solution] This underwater detection device includes: a transducer which transmits an ultrasonic wave to a two-dimensional detection area and receives a reflected wave of the ultrasonic wave; a two-dimensional image signal generation unit which generates a two-dimensional image signal for the two-dimensional detection area on the basis of the reflected wave; a detection control unit which controls a plurality of depression/elevation angles of the two-dimensional detection area; a storage unit which stores a plurality of two-dimensional image signals respectively corresponding to the plurality of depression/elevation angles of the two-dimensional detection area; and a three-dimensional image signal generation unit which generates a three-dimensional image signal for a three-dimensional detection area on the basis of the plurality of two-dimensional image signals.
