Title:
UNDERWATER DETECTOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1990/002958
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
This invention relates to an underwater detector which emits an ultrasonic detection signal by use of a transmitter disposed at a first position in water, detects the underwater condition by receiving a reflection signal resulting from this detection signal, transmits information representing this underwater condition to a second position spaced apart from the first position and receives and displays the underwater condition information by use of a receiver and a display that are disposed at the second position. The transmitter disposed at the first position comprises a transmission side memory for storing the reflection signals, write means for writing the reflection signal into the transmission side memory in such a manner that the write period becomes progressively longer with the passage of time from the emission of the ultrasonic detection signal when the reflection signal is written, and read means for reading out the reflection signals stored in the transmission side memory with a predetermined period.
