Abstract:
The present invention relates to a underwater mat using waste concrete ties for preventing waterfront erosion, in which the underwater mat comprises the concrete ties, which are waste material from a railroad, wherein the underwater mat is laid on the surface of a river bank or a levee, to prevent damage to the river bank or the levee from erosion due to flowing underwater and waves. The present invention comprises: the concrete ties which are molded from concrete and each of which is provided with one pair of shoulders, wherein each of the shoulders is provided on either side of an upper portion of the concrete ties and is provided with a coupling aperture; one pair of binding portions which are formed by serially connecting the concrete ties in a shaft direction, wherein each of the binding portions are separated apart with a specific distance therebetween; a mat portion which is formed by arranging the concrete ties in parallel above the binding portions and in a perpendicular direction with respect to the concrete ties in the binding portions; a coupling means for coupling and fixing each of the concrete ties in the mat portion; and a binding means for coupling and fixing the mat portion and the binding portions.
