Abstract:

A uniflow scavenging two-cycle engine equipped with a cylinder having a combustion chamber formed in the interior thereof, a piston for sliding inside the cylinder, a scavenging port for introducing an active gas into the combustion chamber according to the sliding of the piston, and provided inside the cylinder on one end side of the piston in the stroke direction thereof, and a fuel injection unit (126) for injecting a fuel gas into the active gas to be introduced into the scavenging port, and provided to the outside in the radial direction of the cylinder relative to the scavenging port, wherein the fuel injection unit is equipped with: an inner pipe (156) for introducing the fuel gas into the interior thereof, and having an inner hole for connecting the interior and the exterior; an outer pipe (158) for forming a double-walled pipe along with the inner pipe by housing the inner pipe in the interior thereof, and having an outer hole for connecting the interior and the exterior; and a drive unit (154) for changing the relative positions of the inner and outer pipes, and changing the size of the opening which is the surface area of overlap between the inner and outer holes.
