Abstract:
The present invention relates to a universal platform and an aircraft assembly method using the same. The universal platform of the present invention comprises a number of scissors lifts arranged around an air craft, each of the scissors lifts including: a base frame; a mount frame disposed on the top of the base frame; a holder fixed and coupled to the top of the mount frame; a plurality of link members axially assembled, being interpivotable between the mount frame and the base frame; a plurality of hydraulic cylinders coupled to the link member and the base frame to lift and drop the mount frame up and down; and a slide member coupled to the holder in a slidable manner, wherein the slide member slides towards the aircraft from the holder, helping an operator work at different heights. The aircraft assembly using such a universal platform therefore contributes to improvements in productivity and enhancing wellness and health of workers.
