Abstract:
The present invention prevents the entry of malware from a disc medium to an information processing device without using anti-malware software. An unused disc medium determining device to be connected between an information processing device and a disc medium drive, wherein the unused disc medium determining device: determines, on the basis of data sent from the disc medium drive to the information processing device, whether disc medium fitted to the disc medium drive is unused or already used; permits the information processing device to access the disc medium if the disc medium is determined to be unused; and commands the medium disc drive to eject the disc medium if the disc medium is determined to be already used.
